PLAYER HISTORY
Anita Teilane-Kartiba

Career: RTU/Klondaika Riga (Latvia-LSBL, 2003-05), Wolfenbüttel (Germany-2.Bundesliga, 2005-07)

Teilane has extraordinary abilities, but up to now has lacked the fighting spirit to be a really great player.  As tall as her oldest sister Zane, Anita has played for her country from an early age and also played for elite local side RTU/Klondaika. Anita’s greatest success so far is the bronze medal she won at the U20 European Championship in 2005 where she was a back up centre. Her last two seasons have been spent in Germany’s second division with Wolfenbuettel. In 2007 season she averaged 18.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, impressive numbers though they came while playing in a weaker league.

  • Ranks #2 in Blocked Shots (3.0)
