Styliani Kaltsidou

Career: Galaxias Thessaloniki (Greece-Local Division, 1994-98), Propondida (Greece-Division B’, 1998-99), (Iraklis Thessalonini, Greece-A1, 1999-2000), Megas Alexandros (Greece-A1, 2000-2002), Glyfada (Greece- A1, 2002-2003), Esperides Kallitheas (Greece-A1, 2003-07)

Her friends either call her Stella or Toni Kukoc, since her body reminds people of the Croatian ace. Tall and thin, Stella has amazing leaping ability and a deadly jump shot. Her first appearance on the National Team squad was last summer in the qualifying round for EuroBasket Women, but she still has a bitter taste in her mouth after missing the Athens Olympics.  In terms of domestic success, Kaltsidou is proud to have raised many trophies despite her relatively tender age. The 24-year-old small forward has won three Greek Cups: with Glyfada in 2003, and with Esperides in 2006 and 2007.  She averaged 14.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and shot 46.5 from the field for Esperides in 2006-07.
