|Bryan Hopkins was one of five players to register double figures for the Antwerp Giants|
Antwerp Giants thrashed Armia 87-54 in a bid to keep alive their hopes of reaching the Last 16 of the EuroChallenge from Group H.
Bryan Hopkins scored 16 points to lead five Giants registering double figures in a lop-sided clash that was essentially over by half-time.
Antwerp, who improves to 3-2, face Hapoel Unet Holon next week, needing a win against a team who may have already qualified depending on the outcome of their clash with Telekom Baskets on Wednesday.
But for next week's game to matter Antwerp had to win this and they made sure there was little doubt following an outstanding first half.
During a span that last a little under 13 minutes, they outscored the visitors 33-9 to lead 43-18 on a Ralph Biggs' emphatic dunk two minutes before half-time.
That dunk was also the closing statement on a 13-0 run that began with a big three from Hopkins.
Armia held their own in the third period but had run out of steam by the fourth as the Giants pulled further clear even with several reserves seeing extended action.
Timothy Black scored 13 points for Antwerp with Biggs collecting 11 and Jean Mwema and Gregory Thondique 10 each.
Joakim Kjellbom led Armia with 14 points.
