BC Siauliai climbed into second place in Group D of the EuroCup on Wednesday, after claiming an emphatic 92-62 victory over Maccabi Rishon Le Zion at the Sporto Mokykla Saule.

Darius Pakamanis top scored with 27 points and four rebounds for the hosts, who will have all eyes on France for the rest of the evening, where BCM Gravelines can qualify for the next round with a win over group leaders Akasvayu Girona.

But in Siauliai, the Lithuanians did all they could with a massive win.

After a nervy first-half, which saw the hosts lead 39-32, they stepped up the heat and almost doubled Maccabi's points tally in the third-quarter to lead 68-47, and 29-15 for the period.

Tadas Klimavicius (15 points, nine rebounds) and Arvydas Cepulis (12 points) were the other leading scorers for Siauliai, while Reggie Dennis Benjamin Moore (17 points) led four players for the Israelis with double figures.

The two points though for Rudy Aloyzas' Siauliai, who ended the campaign 2-4 may not be enough and, if Gravelines win, they will move to 3-3 to join already qualified Girona in the next phase.
