Chris Anstey scored a game-high 24 points to lead UNICS Kazan past Dynamo Moscow and into the final of the Russian Cup on Wednesday.
The Australian international, prevented from taking part in last week's FIBA Europe League All Star Day in Cyprus due to a minor injury, took out his frustration on Dynamo in a 71-68 triumph.
The power forward/centre tore apart Dynamo from behind the arc where he made six of nine shots. He was also a demon on the boards, pulling down 12 rebounds.
UNICS, winners of last year's FIBA Europe League, will now take on CSKA Moscow in the Russian Cup final after they defeated BC Khimki, 91-81.
Khimki will face Dynamo Moscow in the game to determine third and fourth place in the Cup.
Khimki will then begin to concentrate on their FIBA Europe League Final Four showdown with Dynamo St Petersburg in Istanbul on April 27. |
