|Andre Smith made a statement for Krasnye Krylia on Tuesday night, pouring on 32 points|
Krasnye Krylia kept up their perfect record in Group K of the EuroChallenge Last 16 as they edged away late, topping Tofas 78-70 on the road.
A close game saw the lead change hands nine times, with a further 12 ties, through the opening three quarters.
But once Krasnye made a break for it late in the third period, Tofas could not find an adequate response.
The scores were tied at 54 when Austin Nichols sank a jump-shot for Tofas with 2:20 left in the third, but Andre Smith then hit two free throws and a three-pointer to spark an 11-1 run that put them up by double-figures, 65-55 on Anton Pushkov's dunk early in the fourth period.
Tofas came back and the gap was down to two, 67-65, with Ibrahim Yildrim following up Mindaugas Lukauskis' three-pointer with a lay-up.
But Smith hit free throws and Dmitry Kulagin a jump-shot as Krasnye edged away again.
Tofas were still in the game when Kenan Sipahi made it 74-70 with a pair of free throws 28 seconds from time.
But Nichols and Yildrim both missed with late three-point attempts as Krasnye put it away from the line.
Smith poured in 32 points to lead Krasnye while Chester Simmons had 15 and Nikita Balashov 12.
Nichols had 16 points for Tofas with Chinemelu Elonu adding 15.
The result sees Tofas drop to 1-2 in Group K.
