|Jermaine Flowers led the way for Joensuun Kataja with 21 points and nine rebounds|
Joensuun Kataja romped to a 77-64 victory at Aliaga Petkim on Tuesday night to book their place in the EuroChallenge Regular Season.
Jermaine Flowers led the Finns with 21 points and nine rebounds in the second leg as they claimed a 25-point triumph on aggregate.
Aliaga lost the first leg by 12 points but went in front by nine midway through the second quarter to give the home fans hope of victory in the tie.
The rest of the contest belonged to Joensuun Kataja, who took a 38-34 lead to half-time and stayed in front for the remainder of the contest.
The hosts didn't help their cause by making just 15 of 25 attempts at the free-throw line and converting a mere seven of 26 from behind the three-point line.
The Finns, meanwhile, were fabulous from long range, drilling 12 of 23.
Their 23-year-old shooting guard Antti Kanervo buried four of six from behind the arc en route to 14 points.
The comprehensive win has thrown Joensuun Kataja into Group B of the EuroChallenge with Krasnye Krylia, Keravnos Strovolou and CSI Asesoft Ploiesti.
Tip-off in Izmir was delayed by approximately 30 minutes due to technical problems.
