It's going to take an incredible effort for Szolnoki Olaj to match the success of the last couple of seasons.
Winners of the Hungarian Cup and Championship in each of the last two campaigns, Szolnoki also reached the EuroChallenge Final Four in 2012 and hosted the event.
The club, still coached by Peter Por, have assembled their team for 2012-13.
The signing of 25-year-old Ernests Kalve has completed their roster.
The Latvia international, a 25-year-old small forward who stands 2.00m in height, played part of last season with BK Valmiera in his homeland and in the other part in Turkey with Trabzonspor.
He averaged 5 points and 2.4 rebounds in seven games during Latvia's EuroBasket 2011 qualifying campaign but was not on the team for the Final Round in Lithuania.
Kalve was a standout player at youth level, finishing as the tournament top scorer at both the U18 European Championship in 2005 and the U20 European Championship in 2006.
The rest Szolnoki squad consists of Márton Báder, Máté Berkics, György Csaba, Márton Fodor, Brandon Gay, Péter Grebenár, Ákos Horváth, Kalve, Luka Markovic, Tamás Mándoki, István Németh, Simon Balázs, Gábor Soós, Miklós Szabó, Zoltán Tóth, Zoltán Trepák and Calvin Watson.
Szolnoki are in Regular Season Group F with EWE Baskets, Körmend and BC Timisoara.
