|Robert Dixon led Pinar Karsiyaka with 16 points as they rolled into the Last 16|
Strong finishes to both halves carried Pinar Karsiyaka into the last 16 of the EuroChallenge with a 78-56 win over Tofas in an all-Turkish affair in Group A.
Robert Dixon led Karsiyaka home with 16 points while Abdul Aminu added 14 and Umit Sonkol had 11 with six rebounds.
They made their first decisive break in the second quarter as back-to-back dunks from Aminu were followed by a three from Sonkol and an 18-17 edge grew into an eight-point lead.
Sonkol set a trend and the threes rained in as the half came to an end, Caner Topaloglu, Dixon and Sonkol all hitting them in a 13-2 charge to the buzzer.
The lead stood at 40-23 at half-time and quickly moved north of 20 with a Jon Diebler three and an Aminu dunk from Dixon's alley-oop pass making it 45-23.
But Tofas dug deep and began to chip away at the hosts' imposing advantage, and back-to-back threes from Can Altintig and Steven Burtt to end the third quarter cut it to 55-41.
But if they had any notion of making a game of it, it would have been over early in the fourth as an 11-3 spurt had Pinar back up 66-44 with 7:39 to go.
Burtt led Tofas with 12 points while Altintig added 10.
