|Chester Simmons and Krasnye Krylia dominated the game against Joensuun Kataja for three quarters|
A double-double from Nikita Balashov helped Krasnye Krylia Samara breeze to a convincing 96-86 road win at Joensuun Kataja to stay perfect in EuroChallenge Group B.
A third straight win never looked anything but very likely after a truly whirlwind start by the Russian team who swept aside their hosts 29-16 in a one-sided opening quarter.
From that point onwards, the Finnish side was always playing catch up and the game was effectively over as a contest by the time both clubs hit the locker rooms with Krasnye Krylia having extended their lead to 56-34.
The Finns couldn't cope with the power under the hoop of the visitors and with their perimeter game also impressing, it was a long way back, despite the best efforts of Jermaine Flowers and Julian Terrell who combined for 38 points.
The home side narrowed the gap in the final quarter, outscoring their opponent 18-8 in the last few minutes but it didn't disguise the dominance of the winning team who eased off the gas.
Evgeny Kolesnikov was Samara's best scorer with 19 points and Omar Thomas was in fine form from downtown with three of four triples as he harvested 16 points.
