|Led Tofas in scoring with 23 points against Etha: Steven Burtt|
Tofas Bursa started and finished strong to cruise to victory over Michelin ETHA Engomi for their first win in Group A of the EuroChallenge.
The visitors took control in the first quarter, with a late 12-4 run putting them 28-15 up on Chinemelu Elonu's lay-up.
ETHA improved in the second quarter and by the third period they were coming back at Tofas.
Donte Poole's three-pointer highlighted an 11-2 run that made it 50-44 to Tofas with 3:04 left in the third period.
Kenan Sipahi replied with a three-pointer but the gap was still just seven, 55-48, going into the final stanza.
However, Tofas had heeded the warning as they quickly began to pull clear once more.
Austin Nichols' three made it 64-51 and another from Steven Burtt had them up 69-53 with 4:49 to go.
When Samet Geyik made a lay-up with 2:09 to go, the lead had hit 20, 75-55, and the contest was over.
Burtt led Tofas with 23 points while Nichols added 15 and Elonu had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Dejan Cup had 17 points for ETHA and Poole added 10.
