Roanne Basket returned to winning ways with a 91-56 blowout of ZZ Leiden in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday night.
Beaten at home last week by BK Ventspils, Roanne rolled to their third victory in Group I of the Last 16.
They had a commanding 26-12 lead by the end of the first quarter, and that grew to 45-29 by half-time.
Any hopes of a Leiden comeback were extinguished in the third quarter when the French team kept the pressure on and built a 66-38 lead with 10 minutes remaining.
Dylan Page had 10 of his game-high 18 points in the first quarter for Roanne.
The hosts shot 57.4% (31 of 54) from the field while Leiden hit 41% (19 of 50).
Roanne also won the rebounding battle, 36-21.
Recent signing Rashad Wright scored 14 points and center Richard Jackson had a team-high eight rebounds to go with his 11 points.
For Leiden, Seamus Boxley scored 15 points and Jevohn Shepherd 12.
Roanne coach, Luka Pavicevic:
"The motivation was great. All points are important because we do not know how this group will turn out in the end. We played hard for 40 minutes, it was a great night of basketball. Leiden is a team that must be respected, it is not a small team."
Roanne player, Solo diabaté:
"Compared to the first leg, we have made progress in defense and have shown more enthusiasm in offense. We should keep the positives and turn them into victory in the French league."
ZZ Leiden coach, Toon Van Helfteren:
"It was a very tough game against a very good team. It was a gameat high level, we are not used of it in the Dutch league even though I respect [the league] a lot."
ZZ Leiden player, Seamus Boxley:
"We played a very good team. They made a better start, we were surprised by their defense."
