Travis Peterson poured in 25 points and Arvydas Eitutavicius hit a late go-ahead jumper as BK Prostejov beat Czech rivals BK Pardubice.
In a battle of 1-0 teams, Prostejov prevailed in the EuroChallenge Group C clash, 82-76.
On top 12-11 early in the game, Prostejov started landing some blows that had them in the ascendancy.
A Bertengeh Gadri three-point play ignited a 9-0 for the hosts.
Pardubice, trailing 25-18 at the end of the quarter, battled back and reduced the arrears to 45-41 at half-time.
A jumper by Pardubice's Marcus Arnold, who had 18 points, cut the deficit to 45-43 at the beginning of the second half.
But Prostejov answered with another run.
Jamar Smith scored with a lay-up and Peterson buried two consecutive jumpers.
Matej Venta followed with a lay-up before Peterson again struck with a jumper to make it 55-43.
Pardubice, despite trailing by as many as 14 in the third quarter and 76-66 with 5:53 to play, refused to go away.
Back-to-back Arnold jumpers started at 10-0 run that knotted the game at 76-76.
With 1:54 to go, Eitutavicius drilled a jumper for the home side and following a miss by Lukas Kotas, Dusan Pandula went in for a Prostejov lay-up.
A pair of Eitutavicius free-throws sealed the win.
