Sweden have a team in the EuroChallenge following Norrkping Dolphins' 86-79 triumph at Okapi Aalstar in Belgium on Tuesday night.
Having won the first leg by the slender margin of 85-84, the Swedes hit the road expecting a battle and that's what they got.
Midway through the third quarter, the hosts led 54-51 after a Stanley Burrell jump shot.
Burrell would end up leading the Belgian team with 18 points.
Fred Drains and George Gervin then got in on the act for the Dolphins.
Drains buried a shot for the visitors to cut the gap to one and Gervin followed with a three-ball.
With Oladapo Ayuba also tossing in a pair of three-pointers, Norrkping opened up a 66-56 advantage.
Kelly Grant's men stretched the advantage to 13 before settling for a seven-point victory.
The most explosive scorer of the night for Norrkping ended up being Joakim Kjellbom.
He finished with a game-high 25 points and also proved to be a beast on the boards with 14 rebounds.
The Dolphins out-rebounded Okapi, 46-33.
Okapi Aalstar Player Stanley Burrell:
"According to me losing Tyren Johnson with a groin injury contributed to our defeat, we played much faster with him and we had more opportunities to score. We really had a much tougher time without him on the court."
Okapi Aalstar Head Coach Brad Dean:
"I have to congratulate the coach of the Dolphins with their strong game and for coming back the second half of the game. On our site we didn't take our opportunities when they presented themselves."
Norrköping Head Coach Kelly Grant:
"I thought we executed much better in the second half of the game. We played better defense and were well focused."
Norrköping Player George Gervin:
"We played well overall, especially in the second half. We cut down the turnovers but overall we played much better than in the first game."
