Pinar Karsiyaka walloped Leiden Basketball 87-65 on the road in the first leg of the Eurochallenge Qualifying Round in the Netherlands on Wednesday.
With the win, Pinar has practically booked their ticket for the next round.
Pinar was fueled by Orisis Eldridge and Jovo Stanojevic, who each scored a game-high19 points, while Omar Sneed chipped in with 15 points.
Big man Furkan Aldemir pulled in a game-high 16 rebounds for Pinar, and Stanojevic handed out a game-high 7 assists.
Seamus Boxley scored 13 points for Leiden, and Ryan Anderson and Thomas Jackson notched 12 points apiece in the losing effort.
Pinar got out to a 10-2 advantage thanks to an attack guided by Stanojevic.
But finding themselves down ten points (16-6), Leiden responded and cut the deficit to one (19-18) on a jumper by Boxley at the end of the first period.
A jump shot by Sneed put Pinar back up by ten points before Boxley once again tried to pull the home side back with a dunk before halftime (40-32).
Pinar decided the game in a dominating third quarter, outscoring Leider 27-16 to end the third period with a commanding 67-49 lead.
The second game will be played on October 6 in Turkey.
