BC NN and BC Enisey Draw Even

In an all Russian match-up, BC NN and BC Enisey tied 92-92 in the first leg of the Eurochallenge Qualifying Round on BC NN's home court.

Enisey's Lonny Baxter had a strong game in the paint, scoring a game-high 24 points and pulling in a game-high 11 rebounds.

Dragan Labovic had 18 points and Pavel Sergeev tallied 16 points to go with 7 assists for the visitors.

Valiantsin Yurchyk led BC NN with 22 points, while Ivan Paunic added 20 of his own.

Enisey will now look to rely on its home-court advantage in the second game on October 6 to classify.

BC NN opened the game with a 9-2 run led by Yurchyk's 6 quick points, but Enisey came back on 10 first quarter points by Labovic to enter the second quarter trailing by one (23-22).

The game stayed tight through the second period until Andrey Ivanov made a three-pointer to send BC NN into the halftime break up 42-39.

Sergeev knotted the score at 56 with 4:00 to play in third on a three-pointer and his two free throws gave Enisey a slim 67-66 lead heading into the fourth.

BC NN managed to pull away by six (87-81) with under two to play, but the visitors fought back to even the game at the final buzzer.
