Pınar Karşıyaka coach, Hakan Demir:
"After eight long years, we played in European cups [this season]; we had good performances and qualified to the playoffs. Our opponent St. Petersburg has a big budget and a high quality team - in two games against them we tried to do our best. Wewould have liked to win today and take the series to a third game, but we could not. We are tired because of our busy schedule and we could not last. Of course this is an exprience for us, in the future we will do better."
Pınar Karşıyaka player, Serkan Menteşe:
"We tried to do the best we could, but that was not enough. But we've gained experience and we will try to do better in the future."
Spartak St. Petersburg coach Zvi Sherf:
"I'm happy to win the game against such a great and strong team. We knew the atmosphere in Karşıyaka, and we knew they haven' t lost any games at home except against Antwerp Giants. Under those conditions we played a tough game and I'm proud of my players. I wish good luck to Pınar Karşıyaka in the National League, and I hope we can go till the end at the Final Four."
Spartak St. Petersburg player Patrick Beverly:
"Winning such a tough game is great, I hope we can go till the end in the competition and win the title."
