Miro Bilan and Brandon Brown teamed up to lead BC Zadar to a comfortable win over Apoel to get them off the mark in EuroChallenge Group G.
Bilan poured in 23 points and Brown added 20 as Zadar ran out 95-73 victors.
The result was all but secured as early as the second quarter, as Zadar scored the first 15 points of the period to take a commanding 42-23 lead, the run capped by a towering dunk from Brown.
Apoel briefly rallied, but would never get the gap back into single figures as Zadar cruised home.
The hosts almost pulled 30 points clear at one stage, with a pair of free throws from Ivan Batur midway through the final quarter putting them up 90-61, and although Apoel finished strong, they will take little comfort from this defeat.
Ive Ivanov also reached double figures for Zadar with 11 points.
Kevin Tiggs led Apoel with 17 points while Ian Hanavan had 14 and Zvonko Buljan and Jeremiah Davis finished with 10 apiece.
