BK Prostejov are flying high with eight victories in nine games in the Czech Republic top flight, and they also have one EuroChallenge win in the bag after beating KRKA on Tuesday.
On the first night of the Regular Season in the continental competition, Prostejov won 89-77 at home with Kyle Landry's 19 points a team-high.
The hosts had to dig deep in this one because after going in front by 11 points during the first half, the Slovenian outfit battled back and took the lead in the third quarter.
KRKA's last advantage was 62-61 with 8:10 remaining in the contest after a three-pointer from Jure Balazic.
The home side responded with a lay-up by Radoslaw Hyzy, a Jaroslav Prasil three-ball and a Landry jump shot for a 68-62 Prostejov advantage.
KRKA twice got back to within four points, the second time at 76-72 with 2:22 to go on a three-point play by Christopher Booker.
Prostejov held on for victory.
Booker finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds in defeat.
KRKA Novo Mesto Head Coach Aleksandar Džikić:
"Well, Prostějov beat us at home, we will beat them back. It is very simple. It is going to be a very interesting game for a couple of players, we will see. I hope that it is going to be a great match."
Prostejov Head Coach Peter Balint:
"It was one of the better games we have played. We started well today, we scored about first six shots. That helped our confidence a lot and on the other hand, it brought the opponent's confidence down. We knew where the great power of Krka is. In the first half, we succeeded to stop them under the basket. We played well on both sides of the pitch, but especially our three-point shooting was great."
