GAME REPORT

Dolphins’ Three-Pointer Daggers Kill Turk Telekom

Turk Telekom knocked off Istanbul giants Efes Pilsen at the weekend but they couldn't overcome Norrkoping Dolphins in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday night.

Norrkoping did much of their damage from three-point range, making 10 of 21 on the night.

Povilas Sakinis had 15 points for the Dolphins.

He launched six shots - all from long range - and made five of them.

With the game tied at 56-56 early in the fourth quarter, the visitors from Sweden hit their hosts with a decisive scoring burst.

Fred Drains and Mikael Lindqvist hit back-to-back three-pointers before Tomas Gaidamavicius followed with a basket to cap the 8-0 run.

Turk Telekom twice pulled to within three on shots from K'zell Wesson, the 33-year-old that tore apart Efes Pilsen in the Beko Basketbol Ligi with 28 points and 16 rebounds.

His shot with 57 seconds to go left the Dolphins clinging to a 70-67 lead.

The visitors kept their noses in front, however, to beat Turk Telekom for the second time in Group D and improve to 2-2.

Turk Telekom, who got 17 points from Slovenia international Sani Becirovic, dropped to 0-4.
