A late run from the Deutsche Bank Skyliners denied BC Khimik a place in the last 16 of the EuroChallenge as they went down 72-60.
BK Ventspils' earlier win over Maccabi Haifa left the door open for Khimik to go through, but the Skyliners' late run means it is Haifa who advance.
The Skyliners were trailing 57-55 until Joseph Dabbert tied it with a pair of free throws with 7:12 to go, starting a 13-0 run that was capped by Quantez Robertson to give them a 68-57 lead with 3:07 to go.
Curtis Millage made a lay-up to keep Khimik in it, but Wood's free-throws only carried the game further away, and with it any hopes of a comeback.
Wood led the Skyliners with 18 points, while Jimmy McKinney added 16 and Kimmo Muurinen had 10.
Travis Garrison led Khimik with 12 points while Oleksandr Kolchenko had 10.
