Telekom Baskets Bonn hammered KK Zagreb 79-62 to knock the Croatian team out of contention for a place in the next phase of the EuroChallenge. Bonn improved to 2-2 in Group E.
They are a game behind Krka Novo Mesto and BK Prostejov while Zagreb suffered a fourth defeat in as many games.
Having edged the first meeting 100-96 in Croatia, Bonn this time destroyed their opponents after moving in front for good with a Tim Ohlbrecht jump shot with 8:09 still to play in the first quarter that gave the hosts a 6-4 advantage.
Michael Koch's side had a 20-12 lead by the end of the first quarter and were still in front 32-26 at half-time.
Ohlbrecht and Dominique Wise each had eight points at the break.
The killer run started with 6:24 to go in the third quarter when Germany international Ohlbrecht hit a jump shot to take his tally to 12 points.
That started a 14-0 run that left Bonn with a 58-35 stranglehold on the contest.
They marched to victory with 22-year-old center Ohlbrecht scoring a season-high 17 points and pulling down eight rebounds.
