KK Zagreb landed plenty of blows early on but BK Prostejov won the fight to clinch a third win in as many games in the EuroChallenge.
The Croatian club, losers of two straight at the start of the campaign, went in front of the Group E contest by 16 late in the first half but the impressive Czechs battled back to win 74-70.
KK Zagreb fell to 0-3.
The home fans must have thought their team was on the way to a first win when back-to-back dunks by Gregory Renfroe and Luka Zoric triggered an 11-0 run that left Zagreb with a 39-24 lead.
Krunoslav Simon's three-ball made it 42-26 but Prostejov finished the half with a 6-0 spurt to trail by 10.
A Kyle Landry jumper kept the run going into the third quarter and the visitors eventually closed the gap to 42-38.
Eugene Lawrence's jumper with 4:32 to go in the third quarter gave Prostejov a 44-43 lead and Andrius Slezas followed with a jumper before Bertengeh Gadri added two free-throws.
That scoring burst left Prostejov in front, 48-43, with 3:44 to go in the third and they stayed in front the rest of the way.
Croatia international Zoric was excellent for Zagreb with 21 points and 16 rebounds, although he did have a game-high five turnovers.
Gadri's 18 points led Prostejov, with Benas Veikalas contributing 17 and Landry 16.
Zagreb were just 11 of 17 (64.7%) from the stripe while Prostejov sank 16 of 20 (80%).
