Artland Dragons thrashed Tartu Rock 94-71 on Tuesday evening for their second victory in the EuroChallenge.
In a strange game, the Germans fell behind 25-12 by the end of the first quarter and still trailed 45-35 at half-time.
The Estonian club, due mostly to the improved play of the Germans, then collapsed in the second half.
In the third quarter, Artland outscored the visitors 32-12.
The hosts went on a 14-1 run to turn a 54-50 deficit into a 64-55 lead.
They then pressed home the advantage over the final 10 minutes for a 23-point triumph.
Artland finished nine of 19 from long range and 21 of 35 from inside the arc.
Tartu were 19 of 27 from two-point range and six of 22 behind the three-point line.
Thorsten Leibenath's side also outrebounded Tartu, 33-20.
Darren Fenn made all three of his shots from long range and had 21 points and Darius Hall contributed 20 points for Artland, while Marek Doronin led Tartu with 14 points.
Tartu slumped to 1-1 with the defeat.
Thorsten Leibenath, Head Coach Artland Dragons:
"I believe that Coach Visnapuu and his team were really prepared, came out with the right intensity and mind set. Our team couldn't find its rhythm and didn't show enough intensity. I like the fact that we were able to change our mentality. Our game plan was to get the ball inside, which didn't work in the first half because of our foul trouble. In the second half Darius Hall did a great job inside. I think our best player was Darren Fenn because he was the only one that also played well in the first half. I am also giving a lot of credit to our fans. They stayed positive when we were down by 19 points in the second quarter, although we didn't deserve their support. I am not taking that for granted."
Darren Fenn, Artland Dragons center:
"I am giving a lot of credit to Tartu. In the first half we were just reacting and they were moving the ball very well. We came out with a lot more energy in the second half. That is why we won this game."
Indrek Visnapuu, head coach Tartu Rock:
"I congratulate the Dragons for their good work. We have lost our good play in the second half. You cannot win a game when the opponent scores 59 points in one half. We also had eight turnovers in the third quarter. That shows that we played headless. The win is okay for the Dragons."
Tanel Tein, Tartu Rock guard:
"We knew that the Dragons are a good team. Nevertheless we started very well and were controlling the game. At the end of the second quarter we lost that control and the game got closer. The Dragons played more aggressive in the second half and gained confidence minute by minute. At the end they also hit the difficult shots and we couldn't get back into the game."
