Banvit rode a 20-point, 20-rebound performance from Lance Williams to victory at Okapi Aalstar.
Williams was nine of 13 inside the arc and two of four at the free-throw line as Banvit won 88-78.
The game hung in the balance early in the fourth quarter after B.J. Raymond made two free-throws to cut Banvit's lead to 72-71.
Yunus Cankaya hit a three-pointer to spark an 8-2 run and the Turkish side held on for a 10-point triumph.
Korvotney Barber had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Okapi, who fell to 0-3.
Banvit improved to 2-1.
Ibrahim Yildirim, Banvit:
"Aalstar took advantage of our soft defense and it took us until the third quarter to get it up to an acceptable level. At that point you could see that Okapi was having a tough time."
Ene Orhun, Banvit Coach:
"Aalstar is a high scoring team with Brian Greene as the engine. We had to deny their shooters and we did that quite well during the second half of the game."
Damon Huffman, Aalstar:
"Banvit was stronger inside so we had to try to shoot from a distance, something we did quite well during the first half of the game. After the break we gradually got tired and we lost our sharpness. On the other hand we can compete with the number four of the Turkish League for 35 minutes."
Brad Dean, Aalstar Coach:
"Our problem is that with these teams we need to have a complete team if you want to play until the last minute."
