KK Buducnost had to pull out all stops to win at Lokomotiv Kuban on Tuesday in the EuroChallenge. Leading by just two points early in the fourth quarter, Buducnost eventually put away their hosts 69-56. The win has left Buducnost 3-2 in Group A. Searching for their first win in the EuroChallenge this season, the Russian club fought the Montenegrin outfit every inch of the way. Lokomotiv kept the game close in the fourth quarter and were only behind 56-51 with 3:24 to go after a three-ball by Alexey Surovtsev. The visitors got five straight points from Cedomir Vitkovac, which included a three-ball, to push the lead back to 10 and they ended up winning by 13. Nikola Otasevic had 15 points for Buducnost while Surovtsev poured in the same amount in defeat for Lokomotiv (0-5). The Podgorica outfit did much of their damage at the free-throw line, making 26 of 35 (74.3%). Lokomotiv finished seven of 10 (70%). Both teams hit seven three-pointers. |
