Cajasol Seville beat Lokomotiv Rostov 74-61 in Spain on Tuesday night to leave both sides level with Ural Great Perm in the chase for second place in Top 16 Group K. All three clubs are now 2-3 behind Proteas EKA AEL (4-1). The top two sides will advance to the Quarter-Finals. Rostov will travel to Cyprus to face Proteas next week while Cajasol will take on Ural Great in Spain. Cajasol were in a dogfight at half-time, leading 30-28 with Polish international Michael Ignerski having scored seven of his game-high 19 points. They never relinquished the lead. Tyrone Ellis connected from three-point range and Juan Jose Triguero dunked to start the second half for Cajasol and they went in front by 10 before finishing the frame on top 50-42. Cajasol stayed comfortably ahead in the fourth, opening a 13-point advantage. Rawle Marshall scored 16 for Rostov, who were out-rebounded 37-26 |
