GAME REPORT

Dexia Deliver First-Quarter Knockout Against Galatasaray

Dexia Mons Hainaut rolled to a 91-65 victory over Galatasaray Café Crown to leave all four teams with 1-1 records in EuroChallenge Group H.

KK Zagreb beat Khimik Yuzhny earlier on Tuesday in the group.

Chris Finch's Dexia hit the Turkish outfit with a 10-0 to start the game and the visitors never got off the canvas.

By the end of the first quarter, Dexia were on top 25-11 and at half-time the advantage had ballooned to 42-21.

Galatasaray never threatened Dexia, the team that lost a heartbreaker in the final of last season's EuroCup to Barons.

Julian Sensley scored 17 points and hauled in nine rebounds for Dexia, who were galvanized by a home crowd of 3,150 fans.

Four others reached double figures in points for Dexia, while Erdem Turetken scored 14 for Galatasaray.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes Dexia vs. Galatasaray Café Crown

Erdem Türetken, Galatasaray Player:

"They are a very strong team.  It was'nt very easy to find solutions in a defense well regrouped, but it's not because we have lost one game that we're eliminated. The pool is strong, and we must now beat Khimik to stay in the run for the second round."

Murat Özyer, Galatasaray Head Coach:

"Belgian basket has a good level.  It's the first time we're dominated in rebounds, and of course, it's one of the keys of our defeat.  Congratulations to Mons Hainaut, because the team played at the top during almost all the game, and never gave us possibilities to make a comeback."

Julian Sensley, Dexia Mons Hainaut Player:

"We started off very well, but it was very important to be concentrated to avoid the problems we knew in Khimik, where we were leading during pratically all the game.  The coach had asked us to jump,to run,and also to score, and I think everybody made his job to rebuke our hosts. Now,we've got to continue on this way."

Chris Finch, Dexia Mons Hainaut Head Coach:

"After Khimik,it was our first game at home, and we haven't missed it.  With a gap of twenty six points, maybe it will be important at the end of the round, I don't know. It could be interesting to win away, but once again, all the games are true traps, and actually,we're leader thanks to this good performance.  Let's take each game seriously, and we'll see."
