BC Sumykhimprom cruised to a 90-73 EuroChallenge triumph over Benetton Olympic in a battle of 0-1 teams in Group C.
Brian Greene led the way with 21 points while teammate Linas Lekavicius had 18 for the Ukrainian outfit.
The most important statistic may have been the 26 turnovers committed by Benetton.
Bruce Fields was guilty of eight of those for the Fribourg team.
BC Sumykhimprom, thumped 99-72 at home by Lokomotiv Rostov last week, never trailed in this contest.
They scored the game's first seven points. After Benetton clawed their way back and tied the game at 19-19, the home side scored 14 unanswered points to go in front for good.
The big run was capped by a Lekavicius three-point play to make it 33-19.
The home side took a 47-33 advantage to half-time and maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
Dennis Harrison poured in 19 points for Benetton.
Leyrolles Damien, Benetton Olympic Head Coach:
"This game was hard for us, because three of our main players weren't able to play today. I hope that at home we will play the full roster and our fans will help us to show a better game, notwithstanding this difference in points will be difficult to win back."
Valentin Wegmann, Benetton Olympic Player:
"The level of Ukrainian basketball players is comparable with the level we have in Switzerland. Among the players of BC Sumykhimpom I would like to note Linas Lekavicius, he is very fast and athletic sportsman. We all liked Sumy and one can see that people here do care about basketball."
Rimantas Endrijaitis, Sumykhimpom Head Coach:
"I am glad that our team managed to win this important game. I would like to say our players were able to build good defense, Artem Butskyy showed a great game today and was at the head of teams actions. We have some problems with our roster, especially with forwards, but I hope we clear this question soon."
Linas Lekavicius, Sumykhimpom Player:
"We were aware that this game would be important for us. So we were to give our best and I think we managed that. I hope it is not the last time for us to win in the Eurochallenge."
