Slovenian outfit Zlatorog slumped to a 78-69 home defeat to BC Amak S.P. to crash out of contention for a place in the EuroChallenge.

After prevailing in the first leg one week ago in Ohrid in the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Ales Pipan's team returned home to Lasko and went down, ending up with a 148-145 setback on aggregate.

BC Amak outscored Pipan's team 20-11 over the final 10 minutes to leave the partisan Slovenian crowd stunned.

Miroslav Cubrilo had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the visitors.

Cubrilo's lay-up at the beginning of the fourth quarter started an 8-0 run that put Amak into a 68-60 lead and two-point advantage over the two legs.

They led on aggregate the rest of the way, though the Lasko team did have a chance to close the gap in Tuesday's clash to 76-70 with 19 seconds remaining after Miguel Ali Berdier Aponte drew a foul.

He went to the line and made the first but missed the second, and Amak added two more free throws for the three-point success on aggregate.

Berdier Aponte had 16 points and Salih Nuhanovic scored 12 while pulling down six rebounds in defeat.
