Szymon Szewczyk missed the Qualifying Round last summer but should be back in the mix for what will be his third successive EuroBasket tournament. While he can play anywhere in the frontcourt, it is actually not his strength in the paint which has really developed in recent times but his ability to step outside and hit the three-ball on a regular basis. Some fans think he utilises this option a little too much, and should make better use of his power, mobility and athleticism which is effective. He has stood out in EuroChallenge at former club Lokomotiv Rostov and more recently has flourished in the Italian league where he has proved he can be much more of a scorer and if he can take that form to Lithuania it will be a big bonus for Poland.
