Azovmash Impressive Again

Kenan Bajramovic was in hot form on Tuesday as he paced Azovmash to a convincing 87-58 victory at the expense of ASK Riga.

The Ukrainians boosted their Group J record to 3-0 with an impressive win while their Latvian opponents slipped to 1-2.

Bajramovic, an important member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina national side, was key to the effort with 21 points and eight boards.

Azovmash had to fight early on but they ground down their visitors in the second half.

Bajramovic was five from seven inside the arc and two from three from distance while he converted five from six at the charity stripe.

Panagiotis Liadellis was a perfect six of six from the floor and added 15 points.

Slaven Rimac added 11 for the victors.

Riga scored the first four points of the game but then Azovmash went on an 11-point run to take a control for good.

Three-pointers from Sandis Buskevics and Steponas Babrauskas made it 11-10 but Azovmash remained in charge.

The platform for the win was built in the third period.

They had started that quarter with a relatively slender 38-31 lead but forged ahead to 66-45 by its end.

For Riga, Arnis Vecvagars (12), Aaron Bramlett (11) and Ugis Vilums (11) all reached double digits.
