Bajramovic Leads Azovmash To Upset Win

Kenan Bajramovic led SC Azovmash Mariupol to a winning start in EuroCup Group K as they beat Maroussi Athens 83-74 on the road.

Bajramovic scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a dominant performance from the 2.04m forward.

Khalid El-Amin scored 18 points.
The hosts had enjoyed the best of the first half, with Danya Abrams' free-throw making it 36-28 midway through the second quarter.

But the visitors then went on a 13-2 run to turn the game.

Azovmash closed the gap to 41-37 at the interval, and Khalid El-Amin sank a three-pointer early in the third period to tie the game at 43-43 before Bajramovic's free-throws put the visitors ahead.

El-Amin then made another jump shot from beyond the arc, and the gap was never less than five points for the rest of the way. 

El-Amin finished with 18 points for the victors, while Serhiy Lishchuk added 14 and Panagiotis Liadellis 11.

Abrams led the resistance for Maroussi with 16 points and five rebounds.

Konstantinos Charalampidis and Konstantinos Kaimakoglou had 13 each while Christoforos Stefanidis added 11.
