Stanislav Makshantsev poured in 23 points and Alexey Zozulin had a season-high 17 points and eight rebounds as Ural Great pulled away from PBC CSKA Sofia in the second half for a 93-79 triumph.
The visitors from Bulgaria, who got 20 points, five rebounds and four steals from Adrian Pledger, put up a terrific fight in the first half.
After falling behind 32-23 at the end of the opening quarter, they went on a 14-3 spurt to silence the Russian crowd and lead 37-35 on a Dimitar Mirakovski three-pointer.
It would prove to be their only advantage of the game.
Tarver buried a three at the other end, and Ural Great remained in front the rest of the way.
Another Tarver three-ball with 8:50 to go in the game capped an 8-0 run to leave the home side in command for good.
Ural Great out-rebounded their opponents 30-19 in the contest. Thirteen of those 30 rebounds for the winners came on the offensive glass.
Tarver finished with 15 points for Ural Great, while Mirakovski walked off the court with 13 points. He was three of five (60%) from the arc.
