Spirou Charleroi edged a tight EuroCup encounter 81-79 against Khimik Yuzhny on Wednesday evening.
Guard Ralph Biggs top-scored with 23 points and also grabbed seven rebounds to help the Belgian side clinch their triumph.
Biggs scored six of the 23 in the final 4:23 of a contest that was close throughout.
His three-pointer at the 3:26 mark put Spirou up 75-74.
Khimik later tied the game up at 79 following a pair of Aleksandar Djuric free-throws with nine seconds left.
Biggs was fouled moments later and his two clutch free-throws proved to be the game-winning points.
Yaroslav Zubrytskyy and Djuric both missed field goals for Khimik just before the final buzzer which would have sent the clash into overtime.
Wykeen Kelly starred for the losers, with 20 points and nine rebounds.
The visitors were 67-61 ahead at the end of the third quarter and stretched that lead by two points within seconds of the restart.
Gregory Grays (14) and Amit Tamir (11) also played their parts in the narrow Group B victory in Ukraine.
