DKV Joventut posted a convincing 114-85 victory over Privatbank EKA Ael Lemesos to maintain their campaign for a place in the next phase.
Aware that they needed a big points margin to boost their qualification hopes, the Spanish side made an electric start.
By the end of the first quarter they had already established a 44-24 and would coast to victory from there.
DKV had a balanced scoring attack, with six players in double figures led by Andrew Betts' 20 points.
Also tallying double figures were Robert Archibald (16), Elmer Bennett (15), Rudy Fernandez (13), Jesse Young (13) and Alex Mumbru (12).
DKV shot a blistering 66 percent from the field for the game.
With the Cypriots yet to win a match, DKV are involved in what is effectively a three-way battle for the two berths in the next phase with BC Khimki and Azovmash. |
