Iscar Strauss Nahariya began its 2004-2005 FIBA season with a step in the right direction as they defeated SC Azovmash Mariupol 87-82. Eric Campbell led the team with 25 points and was followed by Arthur Lee who tallied 12 points.
After a high scoring first half, the visiting Ukrainian team went into the locker room with a 56-47 lead. Not as many points were posted in the second half, however the game remained close until the final buzzer as both teams refused to give in. The visiting team was accompanied by 45 supporters.
