Peristeri visited Wloclawek with the knowlegde that they had no chance to qualify for the play-offs and most of their main players were unavailable due to injury. Nonetheless, the Greek side did not make life easy for Wloclawek, and remained competitive for the entire game.
Peristeri dominated the opening quarter and remained ahead until midway through the second. A 3-pointer from Anwil guard Janis Blums gave the home side their first lead and they gradually edged ahead, finishing the half 41:33.
Peristeri refused to simply submit and eleven 3rd quarter points from Dimintrios Makris (including 3 three-pointers) brought the Greeks right back into the game.
Momentum was in favour of Peristeri, but Wloclawek remained composed in the last quarter, controlling their small advantage and finishing 5 points ahead, 80:75.
The best player in Anwil was Donatas Zavackas, who scored 21 points, had 10 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist. In the opposite team Makris scored 22 points (6/11 three-pointers) and 8 rebounds.
