In the first contest between the 2 sides, Anwil was led by Janis Blums who hit a perfect 7/7 from behind the arc and beat Khimki 86-79. Tonight, both teams played without their leaders. Anwil missed MVP FEL of the week player of the week, Armands Skele, while Khimki were without Vassili Karassev.
Although Blums did not produce the kind of form as in the first game, Anwil looked to Brian Greene, whose clutch 3-pointer gave the Polish side victory.

There was little to separate the 2 sides throughout the entire contest. Anwil got their leadership from the front court through Sharone Wright and Dusan Bocevski. Bocevski, a center from FYROM netted 19 points, his highest total of the season. Wright added 21 to lead Anwil.
Khimki, on the other hand, took their inspiration from the backcourt and guard Alexey Vadeev, who also produced a season high, with 21 points on 8/14 shooting.
In the end though, it was neither of these players who had the biggest influence on the game’s outcome.
Khimiki led 89:91 with just a minute remaining in regulation. US forward Brian Greene had already hit 2/4 from behind the arc, and his 3rd 3-pointer of the game gave Anwil a 1-point margin, which was enough for victory.
