Bokolo On The Buzzer For Gravelines

EUROCHALLENGE
10. Yannick Bokolo (BCM Gravelines)
Yannick Bokolo's buzzer-beating basket made him the toast of Gravelines

Yannick Bokolo's buzzer-beating basket put BCM Gravelines into the EuroChallenge play-offs, with an 87-86 overtime win away to French rivals Paris Levallois securing their progress from Group J.

John Cox had given Paris the edge with 26 seconds left in the extra period and it looked like they had got the win as Dwight Buycks missed a lay-up with barely a second left after Gravelines took time off the clock before making a final attempt.

But Bokolo grabbed the rebound and put it up to snatch victory.

It was a fitting end to a thrilling contest that saw 16 lead changes and 11 ties between the leading teams in Group J.

Gravelines had missed their chance to get the job done in regulation.

They pulled out a 73-68 lead on Juan Edwards' lay-up with 3:07 to go and were 74-70 up on his free throws moments later.

But Paris swiftly pulled level thanks to Cox's lay-up and Giovan Oniangue's free throws.

Edwards nudged Gravelines in front once more from the line, but Louis Labeyrie hit a lay-up with 42 seconds left, and Edwards and Buycks both came up empty with late shots that would have won it.

Kennedy Winston led Gravelines with 25 points while Buycks had 13 and Bokolo collected 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ludovic Vaty also scored in double figures with 10.

Cox led Paris with 16 points while Maleye Ndoye and Andrew Albicy had 14 each. Jonathan Aka added 13, Oniangue 11 and Labeyrie 10.
