Scavolini Pesaro came from behind at home on Tuesday night and won impressively against Buducnost in EuroChallenge Group K. The visitors from Montenegro had a dream start and led 28-21 at the end of the first quarter. Scavolini reduced the deficit to 42-38 by half-time, though, and after a tight first seven minutes of the third quarter, they took the lead for good. With the game level at 54-54, Nebojsa Joksimovic drilled a three-pointer to start a 13-4 run. Daniele Cinciarini had five points in that spurt that left Pesaro with a 67-58 advantage. With 3:13 to go, Marko Simonovic's lay-up cut the Scavolini lead to 80-74. Joksimovic buried a trey and Michael Hicks Taylor followed with a jump shot to start a 10-0 run for Scavolini that put the result beyond doubt. Taylor's 22 points led Scavolini while Vladimir Dragicevic finished with 17 points and 11 boards for Buducnost, who are 0-2 in the Last 16. |
