Finland will face Portugal on Sunday in the battle for 9th place at the U18 European Championship Division B, while Belarus will go up against Germany in the game which determines who will finish 11th in the tournament.
In order to advance to the game for 9th, the Finns claimed an impressive comeback victory on Saturday, as they fell 21 points behind Belarus after the first twenty minutes of their clash but gave up just 18 points in the entire second half, to win 78-68.
Juho-Matti Henttonen led the Finnish charge with 19 points, six rebounds and two assists while team-mates Tuomas Hirvonen and Alexander Madsen finished with 13 points each, the former also dishing out a game-high nine assists.
Maksim Salash of Belarus picked up a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
Portugal meanwhile followed their usual practice of coming up with a strong finish to edge out Germany 53-52 on Saturday, after outscoring the Germans 13-8 in the final quarter.
Pedro Marques had 10 points and Isaias Insaly collected a game-high 11 rebounds to go with his seven points for the Portuguese, while Germany's Jan Wimberg led all scorers with 12 points and added five rebounds.
Hungary will do battle with Norway on Sunday for 13th place in the tournament and Switzerland will face off with Romania in the game for 15th place.
On Saturday, the Hungarians enjoyed an 82-46 rout of the Swiss behind 14 points from Máté Illés and 11 points from Szilard Benke, while Norway registered a comfortable 76-56 win over Romania, thanks in great part to a 25-point, five-assist display by Mikkel Kolstad and a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds by Sjur Berg.
In the rest of classification games on Sunday, Denmark will meet the Slovak Republic in the encounter that will determine who takes 17th spot, Austria will go up against Luxembourg in the game for 19th place, and Georgia face Scotland in the clash for 21st place.
