France will remain in Division A of the U18 European Championship for 2013 on account of defeating Poland 76-52 on Sunday afternoon.

Despite having won four of their five elimination round games going into Sunday's game, there was still no guarantee that France would remain in the top division.

On account of defeating France on Saturday, before easing past Denmark 97-65 earlier on Sunday afternoon, Germany could still remain in Division A at the expense of France, should Les Blues lose their final game.

However, that never looked like occurring as Mouhammadou Jaiteh posted an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double, his fifth and final of the tournament, to assure that Poland never came close to challenging France.

Antony Labanca finished with 15 points; Kevin Harley and Alexandre Chassang both had 12; whilst Boris Dallo chipped in with 11.

Jakub Schenk finished as Poland's leading scorer with 15 points.

After failing to defeat France by more than seven points on Saturday to remain in Division A in the likely scenario that both they and France won their final games a day later, Germany proceeded to unleash their frustrations on an unsuspecting Danish outfit.

Going past 20 points in three quarters, it was one of the most complete performances produced by the Germans in the tournament with six players ending the afternoon in double figures.

Mauricio Marin was top scorer for Germany with 15 points whilst Johannes Thiemann was the best-of-the-rest with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Jacob Jensen finished as the leading Dane with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
