Spartak Sign Ponkrashov

EuroCup side Spartak St Petersburg have signed guard Anton Ponkrashov, who returns to the club where he learned his trade as a teenager.

The 24-year-old spent last season with CSKA Moscow, but played for Spartak from 2002 to 2006. 

He played as a back-up with CSKA, averaging 5.2 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game in the Russian league last season.
