You would be hard pressed to find many more players in the game who can rebound with the same impressive effectiveness and gusto of Kaloyan Ivanov. His capacity to chase down offensive rebounds in particular remains a significant plus point and that is not all he has in his skill set. After producing some stunning numbers in a Bulgaria vest at youth level, Ivanov has since developed into a really solid player in the ACB in Spain. Very strong physically, he just loves to go after anything around the basket and is a real banger inside who loves receiving the ball down on the block. He can make turnaround jump shots or force his way to the hoop using his aggressive style although his tendency to perhaps overutilise the three-ball remains a weakness. Overall however, Kaloyan Ivanov is a big talent and a technically gifted player who is a big influence on this Bulgaria team as he prepares for the third EuroBasket of his career. |
