Emerging star Marko Banic can focus firmly on Croatia's EuroBasket preparations after clinching a move to Girona in Spain.
The 2m forward from Zadar is expected to see significant time under Neven Spahija in Serbia & Montenegro.
A measure of his quality is that Girona have snapped him up to be a part of their revolution in Spain where they are being bankrolled by Catalan-based real estate company Akasvayu.
Spanish international Fran Vazquez, who was the 11th overall pick in the NBA Draft by Orlando this summer, along with Lithuania forward Dainius Salenga, ex-Barcelona centre Roberto Duenas, former Charlotte Bobcat Tamar Slay and Spain international Raul Lopez have all agreed to play at Girona next season. |
