Felipe Reyes - EuroBasket 2011 Profile

Team 2010-11: Real Madrid (Spain-ACB)

Career: Estudiantes Madrid (Spain-ACB, 1998-2004), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2004-11)

When you talk about Spain's inside game, you easily talk about the Gasol brothers or about Jorge Garbajosa's decisive three-pointers. But when you look at Spain's games, you realize how wonderful a team player Felipe Reyes is. No matter how talented he is - let's not forget he was the 2009 Spanish League MVP and the 2007 Spanish Finals MVP - Felipe will not ask for much credit but will give everything he has for the team. It means scoring, it means offensive rebounds just when they are needed, it also means defense and physical plays, and it has been like this for ten years, both with the National Team and with his clubs. First Estudiantes and then the Real Madrid where he has been since 2004. He can be used as a power forward, where his consistent perimeter scoring and art of the defence do some serious damage, or at the center position, where his defensive tricks works to perfection.
