MVP Spasojevic Tops All Tournament Team

Radosav Spasojevic is presented with the MVP award of the U18 European Championship Men Division B

Montenegrin Radosav Spasojevic was voted MVP of the U18 European Championship Division B in Tel Aviv, Israel. The 2.04m forward from Niksic led his team to an unlucky third place finish, coming close to promotion but bringing home a bronze medal.

His 17.9 points per game were fourth best in the competition. He added 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists to his tally to round up a great overall performance. He was in the top ten of as many as nine statistical categories.

He was accompanied in the All Tournament Team by guards Bar Timor of Israel and Devon Van Oostrum of England as well as fellow Montengrin forward Nemanja Djurisic and Czech center Ondrej Balvin.

English guard Devon Van Oostrum was the second best passer at 5.1 assists per game and showed great overall skills with 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Bar Timor of hosts Israel kept his team in contention for a big part of the tournament by dishing out an outstanding 5.8 assists per game. A great finisher from two point land the guard also got 12.8 points per contest.

Nemanja Djurisic made his way into the All Tournament Team by proving to be the best finisher in the tournament with a field goal percentage of 57.5%. His 14.3 points per game and 7.0 rebounds made him the ideal sidekick of MVP Spasojevic.

Gold Medalists Czech Republic had their representative in the center position. Giant Ondrej Balvin was the cornerstone in the title run, posting a tournament high 11.0 rebounds per contest and also being finishing third in double-doubles.

The Fair Play Award for extraordinary sportsmanlike behavior was given to Aleksi Koskinen of Finland.
