Making History: Greece First Time Champions
Greece wrote another chapter in their storied basketball history by beating Lithuania 57-50 to capture the nation's first ever gold medal at the U18 European Championship Men.

Kostas Sloukas led Greece with 16 points and Kostas Papanikolaou hit two free throws and tipped in another missed foul shot over the final 44 seconds to secure the victory for the host Greeks.

Motiejunas MVP, Two Greeks In All-Tournament Team
Lithunia's Donatas Motiejunas was named Most Valuable Player of the U18 European Championship Men despite Lithuania losing in the gold medal game against hosts Greece in Pyrgos.

The 17-year-old Motiejunas scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Lithuania's 57-50 loss to Greece in the final.

Croatia Edge France For Bronze
Toni Prostran made four free throws in the final 18 seconds to give Croatia a 73-68 victory over France to capture the bronze medal at the U18 European Championship Men, in Pyrgos.

Mario Delas scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Croatians collected their sixth U18 medal of their history and first since gold in 2002.
