During his debut season, he was named MVP of the Georgian league and that was enough for CSKA Moscow to acquire his services. He then moved around Russia and ended up winning the ULEB Cup at Dynamo Moscow under the guidance of Dusan Ivkovic. He then went on to tear it up in the Estonian league where he was MVP and also was named to the EuroCup All-Star Game in 2008. He has spent seven years playing for the National Team and is a key member of the rotation.
